To understand the Azizan Moorish Nation, you must first understand the history of the Moorish Empire. Little is known about Moorish history other than the Moors' refinement of Spain and Europe as a whole. In 711 A.D., the Moorish Empire migrated from Morocco at the northwestern tip of Africa into Spain bringing the sciences of mathematics, astrology, and the beauty of architectural design, which is still prevalent in Spain to this day.

The Moors were masters of the seven seas and utilized great navies for the purposes of trade and defense of allies. They often settled and married into other cultures. Indigenous history can attest to the fact that Moors settled in North America at least 200 years before the European. In January of 1492, after 800 years, the Moors were defeated and expelled from Spain. The last recorded stronghold of the Moors was Granada. By the end of the year 1492, Columbus, utilizing Moorish navigational skills, sailed to America on a reconnaissance mission for Queen Isabella. This mission obviously proved to be fruitful, at least for the European.

When Columbus arrived, he encountered the indigenous and aboriginal (Moorish) people of North America, living in harmony with Nature. It was evident that the Moorish Empire was alreadly here, not to mention in India, Asia, Russia, Central and South America, Canada and as far as Austrailia. It is fact that empires extend as far as the individual nations that ally with or succumb to it's influences.

In 1787, a treaty was formed between the then Emperor of Morocco and what has now become known as the United States. This treaty is known as the Treaty of Peace and Friendship. It is ratified every fifty years and is an inherited document to the original Moors. By the 1900's, the Moroccan Empire collasped and divided into several Moorish nations that were allowed to almost fade into obscurity.

Out of the rubble of these once great and powerful nations, came the Azizan Moorish Nation, which has members spanning North America. The word 'Aziza' is an adjective. In Swahili, it means 'precious' and in the ancient Hebrew, 'strength'. We are the survirors of an unsung holocaust. We've been removed from the rights to our land and reclassified as Negroes, Coloreds, Africans, Afro-Americans, West Indians, Blacks and most recently, African Americans, against our own free will. Our proper designation is Free, Sovereign Moorish Nationals, of the Azizan Moorish Nation. Our surnames, or titles are Beys and Els. We will answer to nothing else. We are governed only by Natural Law. We are non-corporate entities and only pledge alliegence to the Creator of all things and the Azizan Moorish flag.

We are peaceful by design. It was our Benjamin Bannaker (Emanuel Mu Ali, Bey) that contributed deeply to the framework of the Untied States Constitution (check the back of the two dollar bill) and he laid out the architectural design of Washington D.C. So we, the Azizan Moorish Nation, has been, and always will be pro-government, ran by the people, for the people. We share no anti-government sentiment. Natural Law can and does govern all events. It is because of the Moors, conquered and unconquered that America is the most properous continent on the face of the Earth.

And, it is because of our Moorish forefathers that the refugees of Europe learned to set up a Republic form of government that has conceptually come to be known as the United States. It is the wish of my people that we may share this land equally in peace and harmony. It is a reality that just as no European is going back to Europe, no descendant of so-called Africans is going back to what is currently known as Africa.

The Azizan Moorish Nation is currently at the forefront of alternative health, educational and technological advancements. And we are prepared to share them with the world.
